🧀 Skillet Parmesan Breakfast Potatoes 🥔

I'm a POTATO! 🥔 An EXTRA cheesy one at that!

Ingredients

  • About 8 - 10 Potatoes diced! *personal preference but it tastes better with Idaho, Red, & the Golden Potatoes*
  • Parmesan! *1 cup powdered & 2 cups shredded*
  • 1 finely diced Onions *powdered works too*
  • 1 minced Garlic *powdered works too*
  • Cooking Oil *personal preference*
  • 3 TBS Butter *add to taste after veggies are cooked*
  • Salt *season to taste*
  • Pepper *season to taste*

Cooking Instructions

  1. You will need a skillet, skillet lid, a chef's knife *or any large kitchen knife will work*, a cutting board, a flat metal grill/grittle turner, an oven or a culinary torche!
  2. Turn on the burner for your skillet set to medium/low heat. Add butter, salt, & pepper & sauté the garlic & onion to a golden brown & then set aside. (If using powdered onion & garlic, skip this step.)
  3. Add your preferred cooking oil to the warmed up skillet. You will know when it's hot enough it will separate & pool away from the center. Add diced potatoes, salt, pepper, if using powdered garlic & onions add to personal preference & flip & stir potatoes occasionally then turn down heat to a low medium.
  4. Add additional butter, diced garlic, & onion back into dish. You want the potatoes to soften throughout so covering with lid while cooking helps hold in moisture & cooks them evenly. Keep an eye on potatoes because skillets cook food faster & it will burn!
  5. *Taste testing potatoes is essential because you don't want them too soft nor too hard. Personal preference is most adviced!*
  6. Turn on oven to 425° or set to broil or get your culinary torche ready for use soon!
  7. When they are closer to being cooked to your preference add powdered parmesan & work throughout dish!
  8. Once you are satisfied with the way it tastes take the skillet off of the burner.
  9. Top thoroughly with shredded parmesan *fresh is always better* & completely cover the dish. Either stick it in the oven until cheese is golden brown or until your culinary torche gets it that color.
  10. Serve with your favorite batch of breakfast eggs, have by itself, or literally at any meal!
Stick around for the next one.
