Email subscriptions

If you subscribe, Smitten's Shenanigans stores your email address so it can send you one email when Smitten publishes a new story or recipe. Your address is not sold or shared for advertising or marketing.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in notification emails.

Site analytics

The site keeps basic first-party analytics so we can see things like page views, traffic sources, feed requests, email visits, shares, and visits from shared links.

Those analytics may include the page requested, referring page or site, browser user agent, IP address, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to understand site traffic, prevent duplicate counts, filter obvious bots, and help protect the site.

Cookies and site functionality

The site may use a basic session cookie for necessary site functionality and security, including subscription form protection. An administrator can also choose to set a long-lived first-party analytics exclusion cookie on a browser so activity from that browser is not included in site analytics. These cookies are not used to build an advertising profile.

Service providers

Hosting and email-delivery providers may process the technical information needed to host the site and deliver requested email notifications. Subscriber information is not provided to third parties for their own advertising or marketing.
